French gay lifestyle mag “Têtu” celebrates its 15th anniversary

Têtu, a general interest gay magazine in France, is celebrating its 15th anniversary with an exhibition and charity auction of 25 autographed covers.

The first issue of Têtu featured Catherine Deneuve on the cover, whereas the latest boasts the young French pop singer Julien Doré. Also on the block will be issues with cover boys Jean-Paul Gaultier, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac and Pierre Hardy, with profits going to the “SOS Homophobie” (SOS homophoby) organization.  And Têtu magazine will also host an anniversary party during Men’s Fashion Week in Paris.

Pierre Bergé, YSL’s long-time partner, is one of the investors in the monthly magazine that he helped launch in 1995.  The exhibition at the Reflex Gallery in Paris will run from June 23 to August 25.
